MMJ Dispensaries Will Be on Oregon Ballot This Fall

2010 July 23

Oregon Measure 28 – in an effort to allow non-profit state-licensed dispensaries to sell medical marijuana within the state – will go before the voters this November.

The Oregon Secretary of State\’s office confirms that there are enough valid signatures – almost 83,000 – to qualify the measure for the ballot.

Under the current law, patients in OR either must grow their medicine themselves, or have another person grow it for them. Under the hot measure patients can have the choice to grow, or buy marijuana from a dispensary.
