    Well done explanation. It is the first I’ve heard of ‘flushing’ food crops. QUite interesting.

    Flushing with water is a bad idea. That large of change in disolved salts can damage the root system. Just drain out the reservoir completely and refill with fresh nutrient solution. You only get a problem with salt buildup when you over fertilise or over water
    all the time. Hope I helped someone… –peace
