@ledbowman If everybody can grow their own with no risk for non commercial use? The government’s price/tax will come down. The bill allows that. It’s not a perfect bill but that bit in my opinion is and the next will be even better. Trust me on that. It’s a good bill, the next will take the best of it and make it even better…

I always thought that the black market dealers were charging that much because they are wanting compensation for putting themselves at risk by moving an illegal product and that a benefit of having it legalized would be that it would not be as expensive.

    Thoughts?

I’m sorry if I’m misunderstanding something and I want marijuana to be legal just as much as the next guy, but I do not like the idea of being price gouged by the government just as much as I would be by a black market dealer. $25/oz to grow and a $300-$500/oz price at sale is steep. Well I hope you’re right and it’s legalized in California, if so it will spread through the country and into Canada too.

Currently I’m in Mexico, and the killing by the drug cartels is at it’s highest. If USA legalizes MJ 80% or more of the violence will stop.

In Canada a politician named Jack Layton was campaigning for legalizing marijuana and he partnered with the Price of Pot Marc Emery, well basically he lied to get votes and Marc is in jail now!

So I’ll believe it when I see it!

Most of them don’t care but for the DA’s in MA from my experience with Question 2 decrim. If you look at who funded our opposition? The police and District Attorneys. That’s not much to overcome when you have the broad public support we do. And now the money from the medical dispensary businesses throwing into campaigns. There’s what you think and what I know. California, legalizes this year through the ballot, has a right to grow your own. This is what’s important and to be fought for.

I would love for it to be legal and to grow it own my own.

But what about the big pharma, the drug cartels, cotton companies, the oil industry, paper industry, the alcohol companies, the private jails, they all make billions keeping it illegal!!

They are what influence the politicians decisions, they want to keep it illegal to make profits, if we all grow it, they will lose billions in profits.

I hope I’m wrong and it’s legalized soon, but it might never happen because of the above reasons!

Fuck paying $300-500 an ounce? That’s what I pay now. If this passes? I’ll be free to grow my own with no tax. Know what you are talking about before you go off. Tax commercial sales, let individuals grow for themselves tax free. Everybody makes out..And don’t be a defeatist. It can and will happen.

I’m sick of having to beg and plead to use God’s plant that he gave us! We are not free, the government doesn’t care about us, they won’t legalize, they don’t care about our health!

Too many industries and cartels make too much money keeping MJ illegal, any politician that want’s it legal will get his/her head cut off! The World is corrupt, we are not free, we are living in a world that is ass backwards!

God knows the truth so keep using MJ in peace!!!

Fuck paying $300-$500 an ounce, if you smoke an once a month you’d be paying thousands a year for a plant that you could grow.

After paying for lights, nutrients, etc… it would pay for itself in less than a year and you could grow all you want for a fraction of the cost.

That’s one reason it won’t get legalized, because anyone can grow it, they are so fucking corrupt it makes me sick, God gave us the MJ plant, and the government keeps it illegal because industries make to much profit!

i respect what your saying but at the same time to make it legal the government will want to tax as much as possible, that is the only way all of are dreams will be answered. now that i have said that let them make it 200 dollars for a strain of 23% thc as a price line that would be a deal for everyone.

Marijuana has to be made legal, it is such a hassle when you smoke a plant and get in trouble. Prohibition didn’t work for alcohol and it’s proven history repeats itself sooo…… And in early times alcohol was used as a medicine kinda, I’m sure you get the correlation. That’s my 2 cents. Man made booze god made weed, who do you trust?

I agree with taxing the sales like anything else but I can not agree with the IDEA of suggesting to the Government to continue the Black Market Value to Make a HUGE profit for any benefit. Same for the concept for posing a license fee to grow and profit for any reason. The Fact that norml would suggest this and in addition to their lack of Backing even the idea of looking into Rick Simpson’s Hemp Oil Cancer and disease Cure makes me lose much respect for them.
    Legalize Cannabis and Ind. Hemp
