Soldiers Arrested after Breaking in to Colorado Medical Pot Dispensary

Three active duty soldiers stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado are being held on $10,000 bond while facing second degree burglary charges for breaking into Rocky Road Remedies – a medical cannabis dispensary located in Colorado Springs. The soldiers broke in around 2 a.m. by smashing a lock on the establishment’s back door.

Unfortunately for the suspects, law enforcement officials happened to be right next door responding to an unrelated call. While the soldiers attempted to move out the manner they came in, they realized the back door was jammed. After they tried to take advantage of the front door, they realized it was reenforced with iron bars. In brief, they were trapped within the dispensary.

Soon enough police noticed the soldier/burglars and placed them under arrest.

According to the owner of Rock Road Remedies, ” It’s definitely humorous because within the videotape you notice them running from side to side, from side to side, variety of realizing that they’re trapped and they will get caught.”

To make matters even worse, the pot and cash were locked away in a safe, so even though the soldier/burglars weren’t reenacting a Three Stooges routine, it’s unlikely they might have made off with anything valuable.

Colorado Springs Gets Boost from Medical Pot Tax Dollars

The city of Colorado Springs, Colorado is pulling in about $50,000 a month in tax revenue from medical cannabis in step with The Gazette of Colorado Springs. The cash has helped the town pay for things like grass mowing and they might soon be capable to resume Saturday bus service.

The sales tax revenue will probably be enough to pay for a four-member panel to oversee medical marijuana regulations and zoning.
